We must return to proclaiming powerfully and joyfully the event of Christ's death and Resurrection, heart of Christianity, principal fulcrum of our faith, powerful lever of our certainty, impetuous wind that sweeps away every fear and indecision, every doubt and human calculation. — B16

Mark 8:14-21 — Wha?

I meant to ask this yesterday but I forgot: the Gospel reading for yesterday’s Mass, Mark 8:14-21, has me completely perplexed. I don’t know what it means at all, and it’s especially frustrating that it ends with Jesus saying “Do you still not understand?” No, I’m as mystified at Jesus’s statement and questions as the apostles probably were.

I listened to this reading on podcast, and not at Mass, so I don’t have the benefit of the accompanying homily. Someone show off your exegesis sk1llz and elucidate this for me, please!
