Mack Ramer writes:
At first blush, having a committed celibate relationship would seem an excellent compromise to me. One objection comes to mind, though:
Lust is a sin; in that lesbian woman’s place, I’d ask myself, is this relationship causing me to lust more than I would otherwise?
This is something that would be between her and her spiritual advisor, though, and would differ on a case-by-case basis, I’d imagine. As a man, living in a chaste relationship with a woman would be absolutely impossible for me; but I’m unwilling to ascribe my own weaknesses without qualification to another person, especially one of the opposite sex.
